Brook is a well-rounded real estate professional who brings to CLX a diverse set of skills spanning development, investment management, design, and construction.  He has been based in Texas for most of his career, but he has experience in markets across the United States, with a primary focus on multifamily and industrial assets, as well as additional experience in retail, office, and single-family developments.

Brook’s early career included a construction job as part of a co-op program while attending SMU.  He then pursued engineering design and construction inspection with a Dallas engineering firm, and he later moved more directly into real estate development as the onsite owner’s representative during the conversion of the original EDS corporate campus into the Lake Forest subdivision in Dallas.

His next position gave Brook opportunities to work in multifamily development and in multiple markets with Echelon Residential.  This role provided experience in underwriting and site analysis for projects across the Sunbelt, and Brook then enhanced these skills and added more when he moved into industrial and office development in 2001 in the Dallas office of a national REIT, Duke Realty Corporation.  While at Duke, Brook focused on the acquisition and entitlement of development sites and subsequent infrastructure work for industrial and office parks.

Brook transitioned to real estate investment management in 2005 when he joined Sarofim Realty Advisors, a Dallas-based institutional investment advisor.  He was an integral part of a team for 12 years that placed joint-venture equity investments in multifamily and mixed-use development projects around the country.  These projects included more than 10,000 multifamily units and a total capitalization of approximately $2 billion.  In 2017, Brook relocated to Atlanta with Lincoln Property Company as a Vice President of Development, focusing on multifamily development in Atlanta and Nashville.  After subsequent opportunities with Ryan Companies and Allen Harrison Company, Brook returned to Dallas to join CLX in 2025.

Brook earned a Master of Business Administration degree from the University of Texas at Dallas and a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering, along with a Minor in Business Administration from Southern Methodist University.
